  3. TextPad(tm) 1.26 is a fast and powerful text editor for 16 and 32-bit
  4. versions of MS Windows(tm), which includes the following features:

  6. ~ Can edit files of at least 32,000 lines, each of up to 4095 bytes.
  7.   The 32-bit edition is limited only by virtual memory.
  8. ~ Supports Universal Naming Convention (UNC) style names, and long file
  9.   names with spaces.
  10. ~ CUA compliant keyboard mapping.
  11. ~ Multiple simultaneous edits with up to 2 views per file.
  12. ~ Text can be automatically word-wrapped if it does not fit on a line.
  13.   In this mode, text can be split into separate lines where wrapping
  14.   occurs, or lines can be intelligently joined, preserving paragraphs.
  15. ~ In addition to the usual cut, copy and paste capabilities, selected
  16.   text can be case shifted and block indented, characters and lines
  17.   can be transposed, and whole files can be inserted.
  18. ~ Drag and drop editing for copying and moving text between documents.
  19. ~ Cut and copied text can be appended to the clipboard, as well as
  20.   replacing its contents.
  21. ~ Unlimited undo/redo capability.
  22. ~ Block and line selection modes, and visible display of tabs and spaces.
  23. ~ Text can be automatically aligned and indented relative to the previous
  24.   line to aid block indentation.
  25. ~ The caret can be constrained to the text, or can be positioned freely
  26.   in the document view.
  27. ~ The right mouse button pops up an in-context menu.
  28. ~ Toolbar with fly-by usage hints.
  29. ~ A powerful search/replace engine using UNIX-style regular expressions,
  30.   with the power of editor macros. Sets of files can be searched (grep),
  31.   and text can be replaced in all open documents at once.
  32. ~ Visible bookmarks can be placed on individual lines, and on all
  33.   occurrences of a search pattern.
  34. ~ A built in file manager for fast file copying, renaming, deleting etc.
  35. ~ Print previewing, and printing with customizable headers/footers, and
  36.   user-defined page breaks.
  37. ~ Browser for binary files using a hexadecimal display format.
  38. ~ Built in file comparison utility, and up to 10 user-defined tools with
  39.   argument macros.
  40. ~ Hypertext links from file search and user tool output to the relevant
  41.   source line.
  42. ~ DDE interface to other tools, such as VC++.  The editor detects when an
  43.   open file has been modified by another tool, and prompts you to reopen it.
